In 1986 Tom Marshall, put his skills, experience and the love of people in downtown Maysville at the first Tire World location. In this new and exciting venture, he provided tire sales and service from only the best brands including: Dayton, Firestone, and Michelin. In 1989, Tom expanded to his second location in Vanceburg, KY , with partner and co-owner Darrell Stidam joining in 1992 to manage the Vanceburg location. "Darrell and I had the same philosophy of good honest work and service to our customers and to make this a family oriented business," said Tom. Darrell worked hard to see the business grow over the years. Unfortunately Darrell passed away in 2017 but has kept the family tradition as his son Danny, has taken over the helm.

In 1998, Tom opened up the third Tire World location in Flemingsburg, KY with a full operating sales and service business.

Tom's two sons also worked at the business since they were teenagers. Tragically, son Matt was killed in an accident in 2016. Son Tommy is the hands on General Manager. Even grandson Isaac is involved in the business doing whatever needs done. The second and third generations have learned the business and the importance of honesty and trust in serving its customers.

After 35 years, I still want to serve that customer to the best of my ability and from the bottom of my heart. I hope the future brings continued opportunity to serve each family from one generation to the next, and the next.
